I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Sydney, raised by an accountant and an industrial designer with a penchant for drawing caricatures.
In my final year of high school, I fell into design when I enrolled to study a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications at the University of Technology, Sydney. During my 4 years at uni, I undertook work experience at Wellcom Group and was awarded a 3 year 'Rising Stars' design internship at Jones Davis BBN. I also worked as a part-time designer for yearbook company, Rockstar Memoirs, and volunteered as a graphic designer for Oxfam during this time.
In 2009, I graduated with first class honours and landed a job as a junior designer/developer at Elastic Digital. After developing my skills at ED for over a year, I began working as a mid-weight graphic/digital designer at D+M - specialising in digital campaigns and retail promotions.
I moved to Melbourne in 2013 to work as a graphic designer at Bonsai Media, a small agency specialising in branding, logo and website design. For the next 2 years, I refined my web design skills - particularly for responsive & eCommerce UI design. During this time, I also worked as a freelancer designing calendar titles for Brown Trout.
In 2015, I relocated back to Sydney and filled my time freelancing full-time with various agencies such as Archibald/Williams, Woolworths Limited, Big W and Bapple Creative.
In 2016, I made the big move to Vancouver and am currently working as a designer for Canada's best brand - MEC.
